Bio

Georgia King is an LA based actor/writer/director and, having just sold a podcast to Wondery, she’s delighted to join the millions of people making podcasts.

Georgia grew up in England with dreams of becoming a director, but broke into the industry as an actor when she was eighteen and working in a cheese shop. After wearing a lot of bonnets in BBC period dramas and starring in Working Title’s WILD CHILD, Georgia moved to LA for a lead role in Ryan Murphy’s THE NEW NORMAL. Soon after, Georgia starred in the critically acclaimed HBO series VICE PRINCIPALS opposite Danny McBride and Walton Goggins, and the Amazon pilot MAKING FRIENDS, produced by Seth Rogen & Evan Goldberg. Other notable projects include KILL YOUR FRIENDS opposite Nicholas Hoult, AUSTENLAND opposite Jennifer Coolidge and recently King worked on Alex Garland’s DEVS and Darren Criss’s ROYALTIES.

Georgia’s time in front of the camera has prepared her for her transition into directing. In recent years, Georgia began her directing and writing career with acclaimed festival shorts I THINK, THEREFORE starring Harry Melling, as well as YOUR HANDS starring Nicholas Braun, Lamorne Morris, Michael Hitchcock and herself. On the television writing front, King developed her pilot OBLIVIOUS with Broadway Video which they sold to ABC in 2019. Georgia’s been happily directing music videos for brilliant artists including Ben Barnes, Eliza Bennett, Abby Posner and The Last Skeptik, and is currently developing a feature.

Georgia strives to find powerful, honest ways to tell stories that give courage, reassurance and hope.
